Volha Hapeyeva studied Linguistics in Minsk and Gender Studies at the EHU-International Vilnius. Volha Hapeyeva writes poetry, prose, dramas, and plays. She researches on bodily self-mutilation and self-modification, and is also interested in the gender problem in culture and literature. She published, among others, Rekanstrukzyja neba ("The Reconstruction of Heaven", Minsk 2003), and Niaholeny ranak ("Unshaved Morning", Minsk 2008), as well as multiple texts in anthologies and newspapers.
