Life:
Jan Wagner is a poet and translator of English poetry (et al. Charles Simic, James Tate, and Simon Armitage). After having studied English/American Studies in Hamburg, Dublin, and Berlin, he worked as a freelance reviewer for several newspapers. His volumes of poetry Guerickes Sperling (“Guericke’s Sparrow“, 2002) and Probebohrung im Himmel (“Test Drilling in Heaven“ 2001), as well as his most recent book Achtzehn Pasteten („Eighteen Pies“ 2007), were published by the Berlin publishing house.
